HOPE WISEMAN
OWNER AND FOUNDER OF MARY AND MAIN A CANNABIS DISPENSARY
Hope Wiseman, is one of the founders of Mary and Main a cannabis dispensary. Hope, a native of Prince George’s County, Maryland, became the youngest black woman dispensary owner in the United States when she started Mary and Main in the fall of 2017.
Hope’s passion for serving her community and exceptional leadership skills were evident during her time at Spelman College, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics. One of her notable achievements was co-founding her alma mater’s Habitat for Humanity chapter, which provided her with valuable experiences and inspiration on her path to entrepreneurship.
With a background in finance and banking, Hope decided to pursue her dreams of entrepreneurship after working as an Equity Institutional Sales Analyst at SunTrust. She founded Mary and Main (formerly Compassionate Herbal Alternative) with a vision to create opportunities for minorities who have been disproportionately affected by the war on drugs.
At the core of Mary and Main, Hope holds a personal commitment to providing quality products to her community and offering a comfortable experience for patients suffering from chronic debilitating illnesses. The dispensary’s Grand Opening was slated for the spring of 2018, and Hope and her colleagues were excited to introduce Mary and Main to the world.
Hope’s journey exemplifies her determination, commitment to her community, and drive to create positive change within the cannabis industry.
